Scam alert

Please be aware: a phishing scheme using my name is currently making the rounds. It states that for a price, I can ensure your manuscript makes it into the hands of publishers. Obviously the entire thing is false (authors have enough trouble ensuring their own manuscripts get read) but some will still fall prey to this message. I do not send unsolicited messages on Messenger, and I do not use Facebook, but people pretending to be me do (and Meta says that they aren't violating their Community Standards!).

 

Should you receive such a message in email, text, or social media, report it. Depending on which platform you're on, you'll need to click on the menus or dots to find their phishing reporting and blocking features--they all have them.
